Biography

Miao Xiaoteng is an Attending Physician at the Facial and Neck Plastic and Aesthetic Center. He obtained his doctoral degree from the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College. He has nearly ten years of clinical training and practice in plastic surgery. His specialties include: (1) Comprehensive eye and eyelid surgery: personalized surgical planning; incisional double eyelid surgery, minimally invasive double eyelid surgery, and suture-method double eyelid surgery; medial epicanthoplasty; correction of upper eyelid hollowing; transconjunctival and transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty; orbital fat release for tear trough filling; ptosis correction using the levator muscle, conjoint fascial sheath (CFS), and frontalis muscle flap; and correction of upper eyelid skin laxity through an infrabrow incision, etc. (2) Botulinum toxin injection for wrinkle reduction, facial slimming, and shoulder slimming; skin booster injections, etc.; (3) facial liposuction and radiofrequency skin tightening; (4) facial fat grafting; (5) minimally invasive treatment of axillary osmidrosis; (6) treatment of superficial body masses, pigmented nevi, and scars using an ultra-tension-reducing suture technique.

During his studies, he achieved excellent academic performance and received institutional scholarships multiple times. After graduation, he completed rotations at the Body Contouring and Liposuction Center, Scar Center, Craniomaxillofacial Plastic Surgery Center, and Facial and Neck Plastic Surgery Center, developing a solid clinical foundation. During his doctoral research, he performed periocular microanatomical dissections in hundreds of mice, demonstrating excellent fine manipulation skills. He is skilled in sketching and colored pencil drawing, follows beauty and makeup trends, and has strong aesthetic cultivation and taste. He adheres to an aesthetic philosophy of moderation and naturalness, is adept at listening to patients’ concerns, and provides reasonable recommendations based on each patient’s individual conditions.
